NaturEar Complaint - Don't Purchase Any Hearing Devices from NaturEar

Review by Greta67 on 2010-08-05
NaturEar does not provide the product or customer service they claim. When you contact the company they cannot even sign their name to an email. You cannot reach them by phone. They are slow to responding to emails and very slow with mailing out parts.

I purchased one of their aids in May. After repeatedly trying different fittings for the aid to work, I was unable to get the aid to work. I paid a fraction of the cost than I would have in a hearing aid store. Their claim to fame is that they sell the same aid that one would purchase for over a grand. That justifies them to provide poor customer service to their customers.

So, I needed to return the aid (less 10% restock fee)and was given an authorization code to mail back. In the return package, I wrote a note stating that I had cancelled my credit card that was used to purchase device. I sent numerous emails telling them that I no longer have a credit card and would need a check mailed to me. Well before I purchased this, I was not made aware of that part of their return policy. They said they must credit the original card and would not make accommodations. They told me that I needed to contact my credit card company (which as you now know I no longer have that card)to make arrangements to be reimbursed.

NaturEar is very good at making excuses and blaming their customers.
The reason for this post is to let everyone know that I just lost close to $400 of my hard-earned money that I saved for a long time to purchase this device. From my further research, I have found on the Internet that there are other past NaturEar customers that have been deceived by NaturEar. I will say that their devices do not work for everyone, and my hearing loss is not so severe that it should have worked. The return policy is made up on the fly. The person(s) who respond to the emails must have had a lot of practice with their rebuttals because they're so good at blaming the customer.

So, Caveat Emptor! If this posting deters just one person from wasting their money on a NaturEar product, I have done my job!

This is sadly a case where paying more at a brick and mortar store would have been the better choice.
