Mohawk Flooring Complaint - Avoid Mohawk Laminate Flooring
I recently installed 1,200 square feet of Mohawk "Natural Oak" in a condo I just purchased. I bought the flooring from Ollies. The flooring cost me around $1,700 and took a week to install. It was installed on a solid concrete slab with a proper vapor barrier. I used an approved rubberized underlayment between the slab and the flooring. I installed it according to the instructions and have many years of experience in home renovations. Soon after the installation, the floor began buckling as described by other reviewers on the site. In addition, the "floor" layer started peeling up from around the edges of the floor segments. I tried using weight to float the buckling out without success. The flooring looks terrible and I have not been able to move into my condo. I am at a loss at what to do at this point, but I don't plan to ever buy another Mohawk product.
