Suburban Volkswagen of Troy Complaint - Drop you car off here if you have extra money to throw away!

TROY, MICHIGAN -- I dropped off my Touareg to this dealer because the engine light came on the other day. I had been here once before with awful service, but had no choice to return because it is the closest to me...my mistake!
The first time I went there we were shocked that our bill was over $1000 even though everything was covered by my warrantie...They said that I verbally authorized a service work that I wasn't even aware being done. I told them that I refuse to pay for something I never authorized to do...that I needed to see something in writing. I fought with them for 2 days and finally the dealer clearing and dismissing the $1000 charge with a sneer and a grunt.
This time the engine light came on and I just had to take the car to this dealer again despite my gut telling me not to. After two days of back and forth trying to figure out the reason for the light and each time the service guy telling me he will call me back without success I finally received an answer that the fuel tank was bad and needed to be replaced. But there was a catch! In order to remove the fuel tank they need to do a wheel alignment which is not covered by my warranty and it will be additional $170.00! I did not even see the correlation between the two and also I read (really read) the fine print and it states that I am not covered for front wheel alignment but did not say anything about the rear wheel alignment. After calling the warranty department, the insurance and the service guy I came to the conclusion that the dealer is the biggest crook who was gonna bill the warranty people $130/hour for 7 hour service. Also, I guess they have a plan to further rip people off with extras (which I found our from friends who also have VW's) like new spark plugs and other wearable items. My family owns Lexus and Benz also...but they never have any of the problems that this dealer have been fronting me with...Needless to say, I stopped the dealer from working on the car and now I am shopping around for a new mechanic. I have been reading other complaints and they seem to have a system of ripping off customers...DO NOT DROP YOUR CAR OFF HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE EXTRA MONEY YOU WANT TO THROW AWAY!!!
