Bearshare Complaint - Getting rid of Bearshare
Complaint
I stupidly installed it and though I "uninstalled" it, whenever I try to open a new tab, the new tab comes up with the bearshare logo, and I can't get rid of it. This company stinks.

I used to use Bearshare for all of my free videos, music, softwares, and games. And now I am using torrent.

This is not uncommon for a lot of these programs. You may want to try to download and use one of the many free uninstaller programs available online. Revo uninstaller comes to mind. These programs are very good at searching for all files related to a program and if necessary doing a "force uninstall" if the normal uninstaller program is not available. They will also clean your registry of any traces of the program.

Heard of it but never used it. I use Limewire and utorrent.

I had a similar thing happen with a different site. Go to the computer's control panel, go to Add/Remove Programs, when it comes up find the program (it should be the same name) and click remove.
Sometimes that is the only way to get rid of unwanted programs.
