FootSmart Complaint - Beware of FootSmart - Shoes

MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE -- I had purchased shoes from FootSmart prior and when my Mother was very ill I ordered another pair to wear for the funeral. I did not get them for some time after the funeral and when I finally tried them on they did not fit. I called customer service to see if I had ordered a different pair as I wanted to exchange the shoes for the same as I had previously ordered. the customer service person (name withheld) acted as though I was interrupting her afternoon nap and stated their system was not set up to give me that kind of information. She either could not or would not help me. I returned them prior to the 60 day time limit and I received them back a month later stating I had returned them too late.
I have contacted the parent company, Benchmark Brands to see if they will see that I can return for a refund. My email stated I should hear from them within 24 hours I will let everyone know about my response. I feel I have not alternative except to contact the Better Business Bureau if I am not treated fairly.

I am so sorry for the passing of your mother.

Do you have the order confirmation number, and documentation from them, that shows when you made the purchase? I understand you tried to return them within the time limit and they said no. The documentation on your end, like emails showing when you placed the order, should have all the dates, to show them you did follow all the terms and conditions for the return.

Good luck, the last thing you need is being aggravated trying to return shoes that did not fit, and them giving you a hard time. Just to let you know, the BBB cannot mediate anything for you, they just take complaints.
