Pizza King/Top Hat Complaint - Poor Customer Service!!!

Review by missy41 on 2010-08-09
INDIANA -- I took my family out for dinner at our Pizza King/Top Hat restaurant in new castle, Indiana on broad street. My family and I think they have really good food, and the best pizza! And we alway's were satisfied with our meal when we went there. But a couple of week's ago, we went there and the waitress was not friendly, she did not ask us what we would like to drink while waiting on our food...She did not check on us to see if we needed anything..Refill's, etc. She need's some lesson's on being polite!,She didn't even smile. I work in the food service industry and I don't treat customer's like that!

If anyone knows how I can get ahold of the head office to complain, it would be appreciated. Please don't tell me to call and talk to management, that didn't help at all. Alli want is for them to ''make this right''. I was aloyal customer.

I'm sorry you feel you had such a horrible server, but what would make it right for you?

Just a tip. If you contact corporate, do not type in caps. They will file it in file 13. It is a terrible idea to post identifying info in a public forum, unless, of course, you enjoy receiving offers for aluminum siding, viagra from Canada, or some creep who ends up stalking you. Do the New Castle police cars still have so much junk on their lightbars it looks as if the roof of the car might collapse on the officer? (1965)

What could they possibly do to "make this right"? They can't go back in time and make the waitress smile. How was the food? Was the service accurate and timely? Did you order drinks? Maybe the server had a headache.

How did you respond to her? Were you friendly, smile at her and try to engage her in small talk. Perhpas she was having a bad day. Having siad that, if you were still unhappy with her service the only way to reflect that usually is in the tip or lack of a tip. Grew up in Indiana--Love Pizza King. Cannot find them here in California

That's what I do. Sometimes one kind word can make the world of difference. Many times I've seen an employee perk up after hearing something friendly from their customer. They're not robots, Thank God! Imagine what it would be like if they were?

Excellent point Venice! A kind remark can go a long way. It is a two way exchange and servers as well as customers should be nice to one another, and it won't hurt anyone to smile, even if they are having a horrific day.
