EdFund Complaint - Facts do not obligate a decision
RANCHO CORDOVA, CALIFORNIA -- PLEASE if you send anything by fax or written make sure you get a conformation. My information has “not been received” which means lost!
I have been trying to work with/understand/negotiate with EdFund for a little over a year. My income varies widely over the year. I have attempted to stick to their agreement that I make payments based on my annual income for 9 months than I can have a deferment. I have had my wages garnished. When I attempt to communicate with them by phone during their business hours I have to repeat my information every time I am transferred, at least two to three times. A few of the “customer service” reps are very nice, but most resort amateurish conformational style which is quite amusing but tends to get a little irritating especially when you press them for details and they have none.
Their latest trick, I have been trying to negotiate a different payment due to unemployment. I received an email stating my automatic deposit was canceled? Not what I asked for! A short time later, $ 340.00 was taken out of my account? My monthly earning totaled $ 980.00. I called them and was polite but firm. Their attitude was “ahh well” you are responsible for this financial obligation! EXCUSE ME!!!! I put a stop payment on the payment. No, managers available...... no movement on the account no. Very sad because this is a Government agency!! Wish I could deal with them face to face then I’m sure the responsible person would be able to see me and do their jobs correctly!
