Maytag Corporation Complaint - Maytag Recall Falls Short of Service!
I purchased a Maytag stainless steel dishwasher in the fall of 2009. Today, I see a recall notice in the newspaper and check my washer. Sure enough, it was on the list. I called the number indicated and was greeted by a very nice young lady. She verified that my dishwasher was on the list and told me I had the option of a rebate of $150 or $250 on a new washer...I paid $500 for mine last fall, or I could schedule a repairman to come. I did schedule a repairman, he will be here "sometime on Friday between 12 and 5 P.M. Unplug or disconnect your dishwasher." Say what? You expect me to sit here for 5 hours waiting for a repairman and you offer nothing to me for my time? The rebate won't even pay for half of the washer. Then the nice lady ends the call with...."Customer satisfaction at Maytag Corporation is very important." Say what? Doesn't sound like it is very important to me, because I am not satisfied. Will never buy another Maytag product and will let everyone I know hear what kind of customer service they offer.
