Kellogg's Complaint - Special WHAT?
I headed to my local Farm Fresh yesterday partly to get inspiration for future meals, and partly to pick up a few needed things. I even remembered to take my shopping list (a plus!).
I had a few hours to kill, so I took my time, browsing in practically every single aisle. I don't know what the deal is lately, but the produce in *all* the local stores is definitely sad looking, and I skipped over it easily.
When I reached the cereal aisle, I kicked myself for forgetting a coupon I left at home for my favorite cereal (which shall remain nameless at the moment). I REALLY needed cereal, and was glad to see another brand (Special K) on sale, 2 13.4 oz boxes for $5. I've eaten Special K before and it was palatable. I decided to buy the "chocolately delight" flavor, as I've never had it. Until this morning.
The front of the box has this descripton: naturally & artificially flavored, crunchy rice & wheat flakes, with chocolately pieces. That's where I was fooled (always read the small print!).
Apparently, Kellogg's definition of "chocolately pieces" is small, hard, scentless, waxy tasting (because there is NO other taste), pieces of ???. They certainly looked like chocolate...ha.
That would be the first and last time I eat that cereal. At least my shopping trip wasn't a total loss, I did get inspiration for several future meals. Sushi for dinner tonight!
