Qwest Complaint - Qwest's Regular Ruse: "Mistakes" on monthly bills
WESTERN COLORADO, COLORADO -- Qwest's monthly bills have a way of creeping up. If you finally call to ask about mysterious and inappropriate charges, they apologize, put you on hold to "check with a supervisor" about a credit, and then make an adjustment on your bill. This happens consistently. It appears to be no error that they make all of these "mistakes." The idea seems to be to bill customers with whatever amounts they can get away with. IF you don't question it, they get more money. Most people just write the check each month and don't go through the detail of their bills, so they probably make plenty of money on this scheme. My guess it that's also why they encourage automatic bill payments out of your checking account -- it would make it harder for customers to catch their constant and consisten "errors."
