Hybrid battery repair Complaint - Hybrid battery nightmare

Review by crewbie on 2010-08-12
STATEN ISLAND, NEW YORK -- The wait for the repair of my hybrid battery was over 6 weeks. When I put it back in the car it was degrading again after 7 months. Despite a 12 month warranty, I was required to pay over $100 in shipping and wait again for the repair to be repaired again. My e mail was not answered. I do not recommend this repair shop.

This is why I would never buy a hybrid. I've heard that over time, these batteries get weak and don't work at full potential Then your hybris isn't really a hybrid anymore. I like the idea, but they need to figure out a way to get more mileage out of the batteries.

2004 was early on for the battery hybrids...improvements have been made, but they do have a particular niche they fit in for the correct end user. You have to do your homework

And make them cheaper. I think the money you would save in gas would just be all thrown in to repair/replace these things. I'm waiting for the day when I can just pick one up at Auto Zone.

yeah that and not cost over 3 grand to replace

Is your complaint about the battery or the repair shop? If it is about the repair shop, it seems logical to put the name of the shop so others will know to avoid it. If it is about the battery, then why criticize the repair shop?
