Galleria Furniture Informative - Awful Experience - Sectional
OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA -- I purchased a sectional from Galleria a month before I moved. I was debating between lets say sectional A and sectional B. Sectional B was about $200 more than sectional A. I asked the sales representative which would be available by my move in date. He reported that he could guarantee (his words not mine) that sectional B would be available, but not sectional A as it was on back order. So being naive and trusting I purchased the more expensive sectional. I called two weeks later to change my delivery date from Friday to Saturday, no problems. On the day of expected delivery I grew restless waiting to hear from Galleria so I called and discovered that the sectional I purchased was on back order, and 7 other people were waiting in front of me. A fact the sales representative failed to tell me, and another employee also neglected when I called to reschedule my delivery date. Also to further my agitation no one had called me on the day of delivery to notify me the sectional was on back order. In the midst of moving on Saturday I attempted to negotiate a plan with Galleria to address the problem of a paid sectional not being delivered. The owners solution: kick rocks until the sectional came in and they would give me %10 off my next purchase. A solution that fails to address the problem and an insult. If you’ve been hitting the pavement searching for furniture that won’t cost an arm and possibly your leg Galleria may look like a solution, but believe me its not. I went to Galleria based on a referral from a friend once I told her of my horrific experience she has subsequently severed all loyalties to this store. By the way I’m still waiting its week 5. This store obviously has little concern for their clients and their integrity is questionable. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere because if you have a hiccup they will do little if anything to accommodate or right a wrong.
