Office Max Complaint - Poor inventory control and customer service - Officemax.com
I ordered a battery that was on clearance on 1/30. My invoice stated that it was instock in open status. On 2/1 I called customer service b.c. I hadn't recv'd an email confirmation yet. I was on the phone w/ them for 40 minutes while they tried to locate my order. Finally, a mgr told me the order looked good in the system and it should ship out fine. Today (2/7) I still hadn't rcv'd an email and I called again. They then told me the order was stuck and had never dropped and they were completely out of stock now. The customer service rep and mgr I spoke to seemed nonchalant abt the situation. I will avoid shopping at OfficeMax as a result.
