The Apartment Movers Complaint - Don't try and save money on Movers - it will cost you more in the end

IRVING, TEXAS -- This has been the WORST experience in my life. My furniture has been ruined as well as a 1900.00 piece of jewelry. Even though a mgr Pete came to my home to inspect my damage he acted as if it was no big deal. I even filed a police report about the missing jewelry, which I know nothing will ever come of that. The BBB also received a letter from me on this experience. Whoever else will listen to what happened I want to tell my story. I personally want this company OUT of business. I have taken pictures of the damage and had 3 non related witnesses to the truck when they pulled up and opened the door and my items were CRAMMED in all on top of each other NOT WRAPPED OR COVERED. The driver called me a liar and walked off. The 3 movers admitted at the damage and said this ALWAYS happens when this guy drives. The apartment movers are NOT worth the "savings". Nothing was saved - it was ruined. the furniture I have is-WAS beautiful and I worked my butt off to have the nice stuff I had. The company told me that they hire independent contractors to do the moving - well STOP it you CHEAP A-- company you are RUINING hard working Americans stuff. The check I received for all the damage - $500. Did I mention a new $400 baby bed - cracked down the back and a new $2000 mattress, wet and muddy!!!!!!!!!!
Again, I warn you to RUN away from this company and tell anyone you know - never use them.

You should take them to small claims court. Gather all your photos, documentation, affidavits from the 3 non-related witness's, your police report about the stolen jewelry and file a case against them. Why did they only reimburse you with a $500.00 check, if so much had been ruined, what is their reason? Good luck, hopefully it will all work out. Nobody needs this type of aggravation, along with the stress of moving.
