Netspend Complaint - How Can I Get My Money?
AUSTIN, TEXAS -- On August 07, 2010 I checked the balance on my card and it was $62.00. I made a purchase of gas from United Gas or Rapid Gas on the corner of South Street and Downey Ave in Long Beach. The purchase was for $8.00 dollars. "I repeat eight dollars" and the fee was $2.00.Which by my calculations should have been $10.00 deducted from my card right? Wrong Well you're so very wrong ladies and gentlemen. They took the hold thing. I called Netspend and was told "Oh, they take all of your money. When they, Rapid Gas, decide to take their $8.00 and release your money everything will be fine. I called on August 9th, 10th, 11th was told to give them time. In the mean time everyday before I would call them I would check my balance which would show $3.98 because they are allowed to hold up to 56 dollars of your money. Today August 13, 2010 I checked my accout and my balance was $2.98. Not only am I getting f@##$% by United Gas but Netspend is putting it to me to. Anyway I called back again and got the same lady, that has been telling me that after 48 hours they are allowed to release the money back to your account and hold the money due to United Gas. Simple right? Wrong// I told her that I want to have my account cancelled after the transaction is complete. Please GET THIS she said I have to call back when the money is put back on my account and then have it cancelled. LADIES AND GENTLEMAN I HAVE BEEN MAKING ALL THESE CALLS TO SEE WHEN MY MONEY WOULD BE POSTED TO MY ACCOUNT. I GIVE THE UP. This is like living in the twilight zone.
