Netspend Complaint - Debit Transaction Gone Bad!
RENTON, WASHINGTON -- I made a gas debit card purchase for gas at the Arco gas station over the counter on 8/10/2010. The actual gas charge 15.45 and Netspend withheld 62.11. Each day after for 3 days I have checked my balance and my money has not been released into my account. I've contacted the merchant and Netspend. The merchant even call Netspend with their authorization number as proof that they had in fact collected the 15.45 for the gas the same day of the purchase. Each time I called Netspend they passed the buck back on the merchant when the real problem rest with them. Today I demanded to speak to a supervisor and was denied the representative state that this problem was a management problem that was being worked on. And that the money would be released back into my account in 72 hours CST. The day before I was told within 24hrs CST and it was not and still has not been after 3 days or 72 hours. Netspend don't you think people have a right to know about their money?? And any problems associated with their money???
You think it's legal and fine to do what you will to others or customers money as a bank??? Just give people the money that belongs to them and be truthful about why you can't or won't. Stop Lying to customers and make it seems like it is on them when you know it's on you and your fault. What kind of business and bank practices is this.
