Nestle Informative - New Coffeemate containers

Review by CrazyRedHead on 2010-08-14
GLANDALE, CALIFORNIA -- Is it my imagination or is the new large Easy-Grip Coffemate creamer containers smaller. I used to get the large container and it just seemed like there was more in there. I can't remember how much was in the older container but this one says 35.3oz. If it has indeed gotten smaller the price sure didn't :o/. It still tastes the same in my coffee and I won't stop getting it because of this, I'll just be very perturbed about it. This is my favorite coffee creamer and I try to recommend it to everyone that drinks coffee and/or tea. Sorry if I'm rambling I haven't quite woken up yet and I haven't had my coffee yet.

I wouldn't have been able to type that review with at least one cup!

It's probably smaller. At least it's noticeable unlike a lot of other products that use the same size packaging for less content. That's what gets me. I feel deceived when I open a package and realize I got less than I did before. I don't look at the weight of everything I put in my cart. And even if I did, I wouldn't remember the old weight, unless it was an even pound.

I just want to know at what point this downsizing is going to level off. I don't see any end in sight.

I can relate to the OP's complaint. I can recall the days when you would buy a can of coffee, expecting to get a pound and it was a pound. Now a lot of the same size containers have 12 ounces.

I think the manufacturers bank on the fact that the average consumer is visually driven by the size of the packaging, rather than the actual volume of content received. The same has happened over the years with cereal containers, sugar and various other items.

Maximum profit is the bottom line.

Agreeing with everyone, here. We use the 16 oz. Coffeemates, but it wouldn't surprise me to see them do a size adjustment on it sometime in the future.
