Discount World Vacations Informative - Be careful and do your research

Review by mcrabbe01 on 2010-08-15
HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA -- Well, I am very glad I was able to find info on-line!!! I actually fell for it and booked the package. Fortunately, I canceled my credit card prior to any charges coming through. Please people...listen to your gut and don't fall for these scams. The people I spoke with are named Harvey, Glenn Lonnie (Harveys Supervisor) and finally Jay, who said we were being recorded and gave me the "contract" number.

Good Luck out there!!!

If it sounds too good to be true, then its normally not true. By cancelling you credit card, you mean you cancelled the card? They may still be able to charge the card, but Im not sure. It would be nice if we had more info on what this offer was all about. What were they going to charge you?

They are plenty of blogs about Discount World Vacations. Some people went into more detail, I elected not to. It starts with winning a complimentary cruise for two and when you mail the certificate in, then the phone calls come, a lot of them.

Thank you kindly for this review. I am so tempted by the offer that sounds soooo good, but am not wanting to throw my money away for something that may leave me nothing but a credit issue and nothing to show for it. So glad people can share their experiences somewhere to warn others.

What is the charge they were trying to make? Nobody is being specific, so it makes me think that they are legit. What are people's SPECIFIC problem with these guys?
