Fox Car Rental Complaint - Worst Rental experience EVER
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- In April of 2010 My friends & I went skiing in Utah. Needing a car rental we went online & found Fox. They seemed to have a 4 X 4 I needed at a reasonable cost. This was my 1st mistake. Upon arriving they gave me a Jeep Patriot. When I got inside the windshield was all smeared from Armorall. Then I noticed it was the 1st car in years that I have seen that had manual windows & doorlocks. When does a car have manual windows & doorlocks in 2010? Anyway I took the POS & noticed the next day that the rear rim had been smashed & the tire was ready to blowout. I was on vacation & called them up to complain. They asked Me to bring the car into them, 40 miles away. I said are you going to upgrade me for my inconvenience & they said no. I asked to speak to a manager. They told me none will be available till the next morning. I said that I wanted to speak to someone immediately. They said none was available till 8.00 the next day. I said have them call me then. 8.45 came & no manager called. I called them & they put me on hold for 20 minutes. When someone got on he told me no manager was available. Finally they told me to sit around on my vacation & they will bring me a car at 11.00 that morning. I said I am going skiing, have a car for me @ 5.00 at my place. They said we cannot do that. They said call us when you are done skiing. I called @ 3.30 where the manager Dick Green or Nick Green said they will get me an upgraded car after much aggravation. It too till 6.30 that night for the vehicle to come. It was a 4 cylinder, Front wheel drive Dodge Journey in Ski country. It came with no fuel & no washer fluid. At this point I said screw it. I used the car for the rest of the week & I refuse to pay my bill. If you do not know how to treat people you might as well close your business.
