U.S. Airways Complaint - U.S. Airways Tries to "Charge Extra" to Sit With My Child
I booked a flight months ago on U.S. Airways for myself, my husband and my 8 year old daughter. The day before the flight, I went online to print my boarding pass and seat assignment. I discovered that my husband was sitting far away, and while my 8 year old daughter and I were in the same row, I was on one side of the aisle and she was on the other. I immediately called U.S. Airways to have one of our seats changed. I spoke to 8 or 9 people but was unsuccessful. They told me that due to a "system limitation", they could not change my seat since I already had a seat assignment, but I could request that they switch me when I checked in at the airport, and they would "try" to accommodate me. Another option was to "pay to choose my seat". Basically, they told me if I paid extra, I could choose my seat that day and sit with my daughter. Has the economy gotten so bad that now the only way to guarantee a seat with your child on U.S. Airways is to pay an extra charge?? Unfortunately, when I decided to give in to their extortion plot, they had already filled all of the for sale seat assignments. Deplorable!!!!!! I will NEVER fly U.S. Airway again!!!!!!
