Ashley Furniture Complaint - Poor Communication and Delivery
NEW JERSEY -- We purchased furniture in May. The actual process of purchasing was good. But that's their job. The delivery was set for the end of June.
The end of June came and they didn't bring the boxspring that we were told by the salesman was not necessary for the bed we purchased (a captain's bed).
The headboard also came damaged so we refused it.
It's now the middle of August. After many phone calls by me, we finally got a delivery date. As we all do, we cancel all activities awaiting the arrival of the boxspring and headboard.
Well, the headboard came (minus the screws) and NO boxspring. The delivery people say "they didn't see it in the warehouse"! Before they left, I call customer care. She can't explain why the boxspring was left behind, it was in the warehouse.
They couldn't deliver the boxspring the same day and promised the earliest was 3 days later.
There was no confirmation of delivery call, but we waited this morning and surprisingly it arrived at about 8 in the morning.
But now we are reviewing the bill and see that we were billed double for the headboard. Customer Care can't do anything until tomorrow and I have to call to make sure that it is done and that a copy of the new bill is resent.
While they have nice furniture, the after leaving the showroom experience has been absolute HELL! Will never recommend buying from Ashley again!
