United Airlines Complaint - DO NOT FLY INTERNATIONALLY!!
The last time I flew from Japan to Chicago, I flew on Korean Airlines. The service was incredible, and even though it was in economy class, every seat was equipped with several international power outlets (no adapter required) as well as an OnDemand entertainment system. The seats were comfortable with more than enough leg room. This flight also included an overnight hotel stay in Seoul. The total cost, including the hotel stay? Around $1500 USD.
Unfortunately, I was unable to get a flight with Korean Air for my recent trip back to Chicago. Instead, I had to go with United Airlines, which charged $2000 USD. And what did that extra $500 buy me?
An uncomfortable seat which barely reclined and had leg room only sufficient for a child. No OnDemand entertainment system. No power outlets at my seat, not even ones that worked with adapters (first and business class are the only ones that receive power ports, no electricity for the commoners I suppose). Also some of the worst service I've ever experienced, with flight attendants frequently responding to requests with eye-rolls and exasperation.
DO NOT FLY WITH UNITED FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL! This is perhaps the worst airline I've ever flown internationally, even worse than Northwest. And even worse, they're more expensive than far superior airlines! It's absolutely ridiculous. I was extremely appalled by a rip-off of such magnitude.
This is the last time I EVER fly United again.
