Carnival Cruise Line Complaint - Carnival Cruise Line Agents Misleading About Travel Protection Insurance
I booked a cruise for my wife and I on 6/11 for a Bahama Cruise this coming October. I was prompted by the sales agent to purchase Trael Protection insurance for $150 each. He stated at that time, if I purchased it, and needed to cancel the cruise or for any reason could not make it due to sickness or anything else, I could gett my money back minus a $50 administrative fee. Well, my job schedule changed and I had to call Carnival to cancel this cruise. The first person I talked to stated I could not get any money back, only credit for a future cruise. I asked her about the travel insurance, she stated it did not apply to this cruise because it was booked as an early saver cruise. Why was I propted initiall to buy the insurance if it did not apply. We filed a complaint with the BBB, and pretty much have lost the full $458.00, since I will never use Caninval for a future cruise. We were mislead to purchase insurance that was worth nothing.
