Priceline.com Complaint - Name your price review of Hilton ORD
I was extremely disappointed with Priceline.com. I received a room in a hotel IN THE AIRPORT TERMINAL! As soon as I "won" this, I phoned Priceline and they said there was nothing that could be done. Also, even though I "named my price" $16+ of fees were added on afterward that I was only told about after I had committed to paying them. It would have been nice to know this up-front. I was not flying into the city and therefore, had to pay ridiculous airport parking fees or ridiculous hotel parking fees of $45 per day. Everything in the hotel room had a price tag attached to it; the coffee maker, a toothbrush, the internet port - I am surprised that we could turn on the shower without a fee. Of course, being in the airport, there were no restaurants nearby that you didn't have to go through security for and re-paying $45 for parking to get a Big Mac wasn't an option, so I checked out the hotel restaurant for breakfast. Apple: $4, oatmeal: $10 - it was a grab and go set up even. If you think that you can save money with Priceline, think again. This was the most I have ever spent on a hotel experience and it surely wasn't the nicest. One more note, I requested synthetic pillows because I am allergic to down feathers and the concierge assured me that I was in an "allergy free room." That just means that the feathers are only in the core of the pillow. I find this out after I have broken out in hives the next morning.
