Amazon.com Complaint - Free Shipping Cancelled When Using 1-Click Ordering
I do most of my online shopping at Amazon because of their low prices, wide selection and great customer reviews. To expedite a recent purchase I choose One Click Ordering. The item was advertised with Free Shipping but when using One Click the shipping charge was automatically added. I was then notified that I had 30 minutes to cancel the transaction which I promptly did. Guess what happened?? They shipped it anyway with the full shipping charge!!! I immediately contacted customer service. Their explanation was that when using One Click Ordering the order CANNOT be canceled. The 30 minutes does not apply. They gave me a RTA number for the return but I had to eat the return shipping charge. They claimed that I was responsible because I "ordered it by accident." This is a horrible business practice that gouges the customer. I will not make this mistake again. Do NOT use One Click when ordering from these people.
