Baker College Complaint - Baker College gives misleading statements about their "98% employed" - College Education

College Education - Complaint
Review by mommasue32 on 2010-08-22
MICHIGAN -- A prior review mentioned they felt Baker's claim of 98% of their graduates are employed. I went to Baker College in Cadillac for over two years about five years ago. At the end of my certificate program I took a required course called "Career Strategies". During this course a fellow student mentioned this claim to the speaker(Jackie Soltzman)and her response amounted to: the 98% doesn't neccesarily mean in your field of study!!
I went to Baker thinking I would be working in Medical Billing when I became certified. The ad's are so convincing....but what a crock! If you are employed when you start at Baker your already in that 98% and one of their great success stories. Its a wonder they haven't been sued for false advertising.

well like the woman said. Theyre employed, but not necessarily in the field of study. They really didn't lie, you just assumed what they hope you would have assumed in an attempt to get more students to apply. If you study, get good grades, and graduate in the medical field, Im sure you will have no problem finding a position you want and will enjoy. Good luck!
