SAFECO Corp Complaint - Bait and switch - auto insurance

I will add to the "bait and switch" complaints posted about Safeco auto insurance. I switched both home and auto to Safeco after I was quoted low rates. I cancelled my old insurance, sent my check in to Safeco, and then 2 weeks later received a 40% premium increase in the mail, on the day my policy started! No phone call, no time to change my mind. They stated that they found a fender bender on my record, but we had informed them about it, and at the time of the quote they had access to all info. Then, the agent would not answer or return my calls. I finally got partial resolution after speaking with a supervisor.
Find another company that is more ethical if you can, although its probably impossible.

That sure is bait and switch, and I have had that happen to me too with a few insurance companies. They give you a quote you like, tell them your whole history and then a few weeks later its "oh, yeah were increasing you rate for something we told you was okay to begin with!" Id drop them like a bad habit.
