Lowe's Complaint - Lowes Floods House Leaves Icemaker Line Open
FLORIDA -- I bought a brand new Whirlpool fridge from PORT ORANGE LOWES which was defective. (the shelves were very unstable, and not sitting flush with the fridge bracket) sitting about an inch higher than the track, causing a "trampoline effect" when something got placed on it..also the fridge fan was making noises.
I informed the delivery man of this right away, which he acknowledged in front of my mother and neighbor who were sitting at the table.... according to the Lowes Dept supervisor, he "failed to report this immediately to the store dept."
I then scheduled it for return and pickup,
which they called in the am and said pickup will be between 1-4 but at the END of the day they called and tried to cancel the pickup , I called management ,
which instructed the driver to in fact PICKUP ITEM.
They picked up item and left an OPEN WATER ICE MAKER LINE on the floor of my kitchen - and the house flooded!!!!!
(WE HAD NO WATER, and they nebver informed me of this when they left - SO WHEN we WAS TURNED it ON AGAIN
WE had LEFT THE HOUSE TO GO OUT TO EAT AS WE HAD NO FOOD/ FRIDGE, and THE HOUSE FLOODED while we were out! )
THE PORT ORANGE FL STORE MANAGER TOLD ME THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE AND NOT "PLUMBERS."
They might not be plumbers but they are idiots. They could have informed me the line was open and placed it in the SINK to avoid a flood!
The should have informed me of this with children in the house!!!!!!!
I am in the process of making a complaint
for damages and I nor my friends nor family co-workers will not step foot inside a Lowes again.
Shame because I was a CUSTOMER FOR YEARS !! and some of the folks that work there were real nice- but
the bottom line is LOWES is not a name you can trust ..they need better workers with service and better managers!!!!! ORGANIZE!!!!!
They need to rectify the situation for my family.
