Silestone Informative - The Harder They Seem, The Harder They Fall

Review by DocNYC on 2010-08-24
STAFFORD, TEXAS -- We recently did a full kitchen and bath renovation through MCKB. During our selection process, we chose a Silestone product for our bathroom vanity top. The kitchen and bath designer warned us that there may be some problems if we drop something hard on it, or spill something like lets say nail polish on the surface. They showed us many options, including Caesarstone, glass and some very interesting recycled material options, but we were adamant about what we chose because of the color. It turned out they were right, we had a compound problem that had to do with sunlight, and some beauty products that actually yellowed the material. The good news was that it was covered under warranty. MCKB was great in helping us out, they replaced it with something comparable and we learned a valuable lesson. Apparently Silestone has limited customer support and very little communication skills. Caesarstone on the other hand turned out to be perfect. Just remember, be careful what you wish for and do your research.

Very interesting and I'll remember this for future use.
