Spirit Airlines Complaint - DO NOT EVER FLY SPIRIT AIRLINES!!!!! Buyer Beware
Coming back from Costa Rica, our flight was delayed 6 hours due to an AC problem. Arrived in Ft. Lauderdale late after the captain told the entire plane that we would be accommodated in Ft. Lauderdale with hotel and food vouchers; and would additionally put us on the next flight's out to all of our connecting cities. It took 1 1/2 hours to get through customs, where they have zero monitors updating you on any flights. We come to find out that our flight was delayed, but they didn't tell anyone in the custom's department of the individual flight status. We attempted to catch that flight only to find out that it left 30 minutes before we even landed (they didn't tell anyone that either). After going back to the ticket counter, we are told that we intentionally missed our flight. They offered no concessions and no vouchers; and were told that the next flight was over 24 hour away (and it was to another city) We were told that we were on our own. Spirit stranded a lot of individuals that night, and didn't give a hoot as to what happened to them. If you raise your voice, they threaten to call security and haul you out. We ended up having to drive 4 hours across the State via rental car at our own expense to get home. WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
