Panera Bread Complaint - Cold Hot Sandwiches - Breakast And Lunch

Review by Dennis on 2010-08-25
My wife and me like to stop at Panera Bread on our road-trips. They usually are pretty good but our last trip from Philly to Chicago was a disappointment. We stopped in Cranberry pa for breakfast. I got the ham and cheese on a bagel. The sandwich was cold inside. I shrugged it off. For lunch we stopped outside South Bend In. I ordered their new chicken Cuban panini. My first sandwich was grabbed by someone else because they were just throwing orders on the counter. When I did get my sandwich it was cold inside. Plus, there was hardly any chicken. I gave up and got back on the road. I emailed corporate when I got back home.

They did respond and offered a coupon if I sent my info. I sent it and both times it got bounced back. I give up at this point. We'll see how they do next time.

If you're ever down by The Waterfront in Homestead (south of Cranberry, PA), db1105, the Panera's there has always served us pretty well.

Good to see the OP didn't give up after one or two bad experiences! For instance, I love going to Arby's. Once in a while, they will mess something up, but overall the positives outweigh the negatives, so I continue to go. Never heard of Panera though? Sounds good...

I can't figure out why people won't say something in these situations.

Alex, the first stop in Pa was the first time I had anything bad at Panera so I just shrugged if off and wanted to get back on the road. In Indiana, after the drama of getting my sandwich after the first one was taken, I thought it was better for me just to leave than start the drama again. 10 straight hours of driving leaves me a little cranky. I'm not nice when I'm cranky so it was just best to let it go and have my say later.
