Chef enroute Complaint - Chef Enroute Catering is terrible!!!

Review by Pstarr on 2010-08-25
STRONGSVILLE, OHIO -- Dean Triplett from Chef Enroute almost singlehandedly ruined my wedding reception! He arrived 90 minutes late with one server for 150 people when we purchased three servers. He had no bread, no coffee cups, no creamer or sugar, not enough forks and no knife or plates for our wedding cake. He used a veggie tray from Sam's club, my two sisters and mother had to help him prepare the food and set it out for the guests along with the representative from the reception hall. He left his one server stranded with no instructions and left without telling anyone to buy more fruit when the dinner he was "preparing" was not even close to being finished. He left early at the end of the night and my own mother had to unclog the sink of the reception hall we rented because he left without cleaning up. I had to pay the DJ's extra cash to keep them around because he arrived so late. DO NOT USE DEAN TRIPLETT OF CHEF ENROUTE FROM STRONGSVILLE, OH

It seems the name Chef Enroute is a good indication of the type service you'll get if you hire this guy.

This sounds like a major mess, but I hope it didn't ruin your day.

Using Chef Enroute didnt ruin my day thankfully, my family stepped up and basically helped him prepare (my sister cut all the fruit) and serve the meal. I wrote this to spread the word to caution people against using Chef Enroute. I learned after the fact he had a BBB complaint against him earlier in the year. Another good resource to use when checking out caterers.

OP I would file against this 'Chef" in small claims court. What you describe is atrocious.

Chef enroute is right! He's enroute when he's supposed to be at the venue, then he's enroute when he's supposed to be serving dinner and then he's enroute when he's supposed to be cleaning up. What a good title he chose. Hope you are able to get some of your money back for the mess this guy created. Hope your wedding was nice anyway. Some day you'll laugh about this--no really!
