The Hertz Corp Complaint - Customer Service is poor, cars are not cleaned -(Worse Experience) will never use them again.
I had rented a Hertz vechicle in June of 2010 for over 3 weeks. I had left my personal EZ Pass in the rental car after I returned it. After reviewing my EZ pass statement, I realized there are charges calculated from July 7th until July 9th that were not incurred by me.
One of their other customers used my personal EZ pass. My EZ pass had my personal account # (200 1734 0429 5) printed on the front panel along with my name. It’s clear that it was not a Hertz EZ pass. The charges they incurred were $29.55 in tolls. I have also contacted EZ pass and they will be charging me $21.00 for replacing my EZ pass.
I am a frequent customer of rental cars as the company I work for often expects me to travel out of town. I am extremely disappointed that no one was able to check the vehicle and someone used my EZ pass without my consent. That is stealing. I was hoping they would review my letter and provide me with a reimbursement of $50.55 for the lost I have suffered financially.
After formally calling Hertz and telling them the location in which the EZ pass was lost, Hertz continued to use it. No one from customer service called me and in addition I received a letter in the mail over a month later saying they could do nothing to help me. Worse company ever, writing this to forewarn customers that Hertz is not a company who cares about their customers or rental cars. Its a pure sign of laziness that they couldn't invoice back the customer that used my personal EZ pass during the time which the charges were incurred on my EZ pass. Enterprise would never do that and I really suggest that anyone who rents from them beware. My co-workers, family, and friends will never use them again.
