Dish Network Complaint - THEY STOLE MY RECEIVER
UNKOWN -- I had a DISH Satellite Receiver that I purchased from DISH. I no longer needed it so I sold it on E-Bay. I live in Riverside, CA and the buyer lives in El Paso TX. So on Aug. 17 I packaged the receiver up in the same box that I received it in and took it to the UPS store. I gave them the name and address of the person in Texas and they printed a Shipping Label.
I checked the label to make sure it was correct and it was. Foolishly I declined the extra insurance, I thought, what could happen. They never told me DELIVER IT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. On Aug. 21 I got a E-Mail from DISH saying that they had received my receiver. I called them and told them that I had not sent them a receiver for over four months and that it must be a mistake. I did sent them two receivers about four and a half months ago. The ROO number of the receiver was the same as the one that I had sent to the buyer in Texas, so I ask them to send it back to me because they had received it in error.
They told me "oh there is just no way we can do then". I have the tracking number and I followed it from Riverside to Albuquerque NM and that's where it disappeared. As far as I am concerned they stole it from me with the help of UPS.
I paid $600.00 for that receiver and DISH is keeping it because they "can't do that". If I had their receiver they would sue me if I didn't send it back to them. I can't understand that way of doing business, I'm so glad I switched to U-Verse, it's way better and a lot cheaper too. I'll bet AT&T won't steal from me.
