Whirlpool - Aesthetics not covered by extended warranty
Whirlpool Washer Duet Sport 2006 - Complaint
While I love my washer, I was quite disappointed recently when I discovered this particular item was considered COSMETIC only.
My "start" button has worn completely through to where I'm pushing into
the machine itself. It is somewhat scary because one never knows when or
if a wire will short while pushing the button. I called the number for the extended warranty and was told directly that it is cosmetic, not dangerous....UNLESS I get a shock or something. While I understand this maching is a few years old, one would hope that Whirlpool would be interested enough to want this fixed. I no longer show the machine to friends who are looking for a GOOD washer and dryer because they would see the worn part on only the one button and then I would have to tell them that it appears Whirlpool and/or their warranty company have no interest in keeping the maching looking good along with working well. To correct this would certainly not cost the company much money and they would continue to have a happy customer. hmmmm maybe I'll have to look into LG???
