Alaska Remodeling/Alaska Decks & More Complaint - Contractors-New Construction

Review by johnmt on 2010-08-28
ANCHORAGE, ALASKA -- July 2007 todate August 2010 & still going on. Contractor did not build new addition to Muni Code. This causes many structual problems, & extra expenses to homeowner. Some problems are endless no show/no call, incomplete punch list, flooding, water damage, power damage & the list goes on. Lack of communication, and care from contractor since day one.

Contractor not willing negoitate or compensate homeowner for over several thousands of dollars of unneeded homeowner expense.

Did you use a licensed and bonded contractor? If so I would take your expenses straight to court - this is why they are bonded, to prevent homeowners from having to pay unneccesary expenses for work that is not up to code.

Call Municipal Code Enforcement at (907) 343-4141 or Mayor Dan Sullivan's office at (907) 343-7100 and see if that doesn't make your contractor a bit more cooperative.
