Lowe's Complaint - Never Again!
CONNECTICUT -- I purchased a very expensive Whirlpool Gold stainless steel refrigerator from Lowe's about a year and a half ago. Three months after purchasing it, it started to make a buzzing sound and the temperature went up to the 40's despite the settings. We called Lowe's who sent out their repair men. They told me that it was the compressor. I thought that was pretty weird since the refrigerator arrived with the factory tape still on the shelves. The repairmen did as they said and changed out the compressor. The refrigerator started to work again and another 3 months went by and the same problem occurred. This time it was the switch relay, the next time in another month it was there was oil in the freon line and if they just put in some freon it would be fine. Eight service calls later and it's still not fine. I am out 1100.00$ plus the cost of eating out for the past 3 months since I could not trust the safety of the food in the fridge. Now Lowe's wants to "give me a refurbished fridge". I said "NO DICE" I want my money back. I bought a new stove and dishwasher at the same time, luckily from other product lines and no problems with them at this time.
