Long John Silver's Restaurants Informative - Lobster tails.....NOT, actually tiny shrimp!!!!!
I was very curious about Long John Silver's Lobster Tails at only $3.99. actually the taste was good, but my curiosity got the better of me, so I took the bread coating off of several of them, and low and behold what I found was actually very small shrimp!!!!!!!
How can this company advertise this as "Lobster"? it is NOT ! ! !
I hope some government agency shuts this fraud down, but then when EVER did a government agency do it's job??

You did bring this to the attention of the manager, right? Since any lobster tail you get for $3.99 is going to be pretty small, it could be there was a mix up at the fryer.

What you may have there is not shrimp, but it is probably not lobster either. Inquire of the manager if they are servince l'angostino. Apparently, they can sell this crustacean as lobster, but purists decry this as fraud, saying l'angostinos are not lobster. True, they are smaller than a Maine lobster, but let's be real, a Maine lobster tail for $3.99? You might as well expect to buy a 2011 Cadillac for $750.

Good answer Starlord and believe you are correct. That being said this is still purposely deceptive advertising by LJS. Come on guys call a squat lobster a squat lobster.

LJS uses Langostino lobsters, which are no where near the size and quality of a succulent Maine lobster.
