Hewlett Packard Complaint - Product and Service Complaint
I purchased an HP Deskjet 2660 series printer. In September of last year. It stayed in the box unopened until November when I had it installed. It worked a couple of times and quit. I eventually figured out I could unplug it, then replug it and it would work one time only, until I repeated the process again.
I called Hewlett Packard for help, and was told I could buy a one year $98 service contract (this was a $54 printer), but otherwise was refused assistance. The printer was less than six months old. I had used it less than a dozen times.
I took my printing job to a professional printer, telling him about my problem without identifying the printer. He asked me if it was a Hewlett
Packard. When I told him it was, he said he had the same problem with the same machine, which he had bought for home use, and had it sitting unplugged in his bedroom because it would not work. He also told me their highend printer, which he used professionally was very good.
Customer Service was terrible, and I have a unless printer. Perhaps Huwett Packard is unconcerned with its home user customers.
