Enterprise Rent-A-Car Complaint - Don't ever rent from Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Terrible customer service.
GERMANTOWN, MARYLAND -- I rented a car from them in May, 2010 for a long weekend. Anyways, the car suffered some scratches under the door panel on the passenger side. I reported the accident promptly to them when I returned the car, paid my deductible and provided the relevant insurance details. I then got a letter asking for the same details again which I had provided to them already. I called them again and gave all of the information over the phone. I then called a couple of times to make sure that they had it in their system and they confirmed it. You would think that it would address their issue but nooooo... They did not move at all on the case until sometime in mid July. My insurance adjuster said that they had to call several times asking them to submit the paper and they kept asking for the same information over and over again. Anyways, they have slapped me with FEES AND CHARGES on top of the damages that they have no paper work to prove. I had called them a few times but was never able to get to someone other than their operators and they are of NO HELP. I have been extremely frustrated with the way they are carrying out this business. I was never notified of these hidden charges. Between the insurance company and I, we paid out all of the charges related to getting the car fixed.
The people at the Germantown location only care about renting the car but do not follow-up when asked questions on the existing claims. They are extremely rude to you when you ask them questions that they don't want to answer. I thought that being upfront about the accident and paying my dues will settle the claim, but no!!! It all looks very shady. Consumers, BE AWARE!!
