DirecTV Inc Complaint - Inappropriate early cancellation charge
In July 08 I received a new DVR from direcTV. That committed me to a 2 year contract. In February of 09, dissatisfied with the DVR DirecTV had sent me, I bought another on my own. DirecTV sent me a new activation card and charged me for that service. In August of 10 I cancelled my direcTV service (more than 2 years after DirecTV provided me with a new DVR). DirecTV charged me $100 early cancellation fee saying that when they activated the DVR that I bought, I entered another 2 year commitment.
