Accept Credit Cards Complaint - Merchant Processor....Strong Arm Sales

Review by teabag on 2010-09-04
ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA -- I was looking for a new merchant processor and when the paperwork was sent and I was filling it out to return....voila, there was a 3 YEAR contract included with fees for early termination. I blew up and renaged on the deal stating that it was never mentioned and totally unreasonable. I then made the error of stating that I probably would not have balked had it been for one year because that I could justify since they were providing a terminal.

After that encounter, I found some other non-contract firms recommended by consumer groups and learned some of the tricks that accompany contracts. when Acceptcreditcards got back to me and reduced their contract term from 3-1 yr. I decided I woul not accept it. I wanted a no contract agreement. I have been with my current company for 12 years, no contract. They are losing me because they their fee to me to buy a new printer is $500 and that is way overpriced.

Anyway, stay away from Accept credit cards. It cost me $35 to avoid this company but I am sure they would have cleaned me out of more than $35. Strong arm sales and no mention of contracts..... not a good mix.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. Cheap equipment comes with contract. No contract equals expensive equipment. The credit card processors are in business to make money just like you.

Yes they are in business to make money as all other business is,
The problem is that there are tons of fly by nighters in this industry that take advantage and treat you like garbage if u dare question or complain about something, and won't give an explanation for it or even take your calls, Search carefully in this God foresaken industry,

As in all business transactions, you need to do your homework.
