Staples Complaint - Poor customer service
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA -- I purchased a shredder that would not turn on secondary to a broken chip inside the basket that should have triggered the motor. I tried to return the unused and unusable item to the store for a refund or a replacement. I was dealt with dismissively by the store manager - Steve -and given a customer service number since "we don't do anything for shredders here". I felt the manager's attitude was as inappropriate as his refusal to stand by the product in any way.
I would recommend that customers do not buy anything at Staples that could be defective or unusable. They simply will not even listen to a complaint, and will refuse to refund or replace the item. Staples' convenience is far outweighed by the poor attitude of their help.
