Whitby Oshawa Honda Canada Complaint - Unbelievable Service
WHITBY -- This is a letter that I will be sending to Honda in order to bring to their attention what is occurring in their Service Department at Whitby Oshawa Honda.
I have a Honda Pilot 2003 and Honda Accord 2008 and I regularly take both of them for regular maintenance. Before I went for maintenance I had a doubt if the dealers actually do all the services as they say and charge for.
Just to make sure that they were actually replacing oil and oil filter honestly, I marked my old oil filter. After leaving my car for almost a day when I picked my car back after the service was done I found the same marked oil filter in my car. According to the dealer they had changed my oil filter and charged me for that but my doubt turned to be true as they never replaced the previous marked oil filter. When I called them the service advisor confirmed that they changed the filter but when I told them about the marked filter he admitted that they forgot to change it.
At this the manager told me to bring the car again to change the filter but I did not go because this act of ignorance broke my years of trust on Honda dealers and now I doubt if they ever used to change my oil filters or oil or did other services as they say. The matter of concern is that if the Honda dealers themselves are being so reckless in the regular maintenance of my cars whom can I trust for this?? This reckless behavior is not only damaging my cars but also spoiling Honda Company's fame.
I would just like all other people to be aware of this and watch out while getting regular service for their cars as this could be happening in their service department quite often.
