Qdoba Mexican Grill Compliment - Good Burrito

Review by 54118 on 2010-09-06
PHOENIX,AZ -- Today me and a friend of mine decided to go to lunch we agreed on this place called Qdoba. Its kind of like chipotle if you ever been there same concept. We get up to the counter girl asks me if I want a naked Burrito or regular, kinda scratched my head for a minute then my friend told me its a burrito in a bowl.

I said no I wanted a regular Burrito, so I picked the ingredients I wanted in my Burrito, steak, rice, cheese, sour cream lettuce etc. The Burrito was huge as big as you get from chipotle they charge you extra though for your Burrito to be fajita style, which is basically red onions and bell peppers added to your burrito. Skipped on that and they charge extra for Guac.

But for six bucks and some change it was a tasty Burrito I still prefer Chipotle the ingredients seem better. and they don't charge you for the extra Bell pepper, and onions I would try them again though they are much closer to me then chipotle.

Now that I think about it, I do remember seeing that one in Chandler. Always wanted to go in and see what it was all about

Six bucks for a Burrito? Not in the Basher's world. There isn't a Burrito invented or could possiby BE invented that would get my six bucks.

But, if you enjoyed it...that's all that matters. Good Review.

Wally, I don't think $6 is too much for food of good quality. Thanks for the review.

But it's just a Burrito. How good can a burrito be?
Hey...maybe I'll try a 'Basher Burrito'..Yeah! Thanks for the idea!

Is a 'Basher Burrito' gonna be like the Big Mac Wraps that Mcdonalds sells?

DB, you don't know your burritos! I don't consider Taco Bell Mexican food, but many do. I'm sure they have burritos you can buy for a couple of bucks, but the taste is not at all comparable. You have to pay for good food. Six bucks is cheap. A burrito contains all the food groups too, unless you opt out of the vegi's.

In Singapore, I found a good Mexican restaurant. The crab enchiladas are $22 Sing Dollars (about $15 US). Now, that's expensive!! All the food here is though, so I make my own with my equally expensive groceries. We only go out to eat once a week (and sometimes less).

Shouldn't you be heading back home soon? I thought you were going to be there for two years...it seems it's been about that long now.
Now GET YOUR BUTT BACK OVER HERE, YOUNG LADY!

It's been nearly 2 years, but we'll be here until at least mid-2011. I am going home for the holidays, beginning in late October (okay, I consider Halloween a holiday, lol), and not returning to Singapore until mid-January. Can't wait for that cold winter air!!

Well, hopefully home ISN'T Arizona!

What's wrong with AZ? Wait...don't answer that
Posted by DebtorBasher on 2010-09-07:
Because when she said she can't wait for hat cold winter air, I don't think she's talking about 85 degrees!

It gets cold at night during the winter. Even gets cold enough to snow sometimes

DB, I live in the NW. Nice and cold and rainy. When we left for Singapore, there was at least 2 feet of snow on the ground that January. We were so happy then to be in warm weather. Now, if I never feel hot and sweaty again, I'll be happy (and I'm only referring to the weather)!

Nice review, Wally. I'll check it out next time I'm in AZ. As for the price, $6 is okay with me. Whether it's $6 or $15, the fart will still be free.

There's a Qdoba really close to Fenway that I eat at anytime I'm in that area. Pretty good food.

We have a Qdoba that opened up here this past spring. I like it, but my kids aren't really big fans of it.
