Sprint Complaint - Customer Service and new phone
HOBOKEN, NEW JERSEY -- I purchased a phone from Sprint on line and it was shipped to an incorrect address, notified them and they shipped another one. Waited 2 days (for the OVERNIGHT package) and received an EMPTY BOX. Was told to go to the retail store and purchase a phone and they would credit me for the retail price (could not honor the $99 price from on line as I "already had the phone". THey told me to ship back the empty box and the would credit me for that phone. Well - they rec'd the box back and told me that they could not honor the return for the Blackberry - NOTE: I ordered the Intercept. So - they now have to escalate the claim for hte empty box (because my word clearly is not enough - by the way I am Premier and a long time Sprint customer). Spoke to then on 8/25 and they said that my next bill would reflect the credit for the $382.47 retail cost for the phone). Got my bill and guess what - no credit! Billed for that and the empty box. I now have a $700 phone bill. Called and they said there was no record of me speaking to them about purchasing the phone retail and there was nothing they could do. Went to the Sprint store and returned the phone only to get hit with a $35 restocking fee. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL. THEY LIE AND DON'T DOCUMENT ANYTHING. THE DEPARTMENTS DON'T SPEAK TO EACH OTHER AND THEY TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR TO GET YOU OFF THE PHONE AND DON'T NOTE IT IN YOUR RECORD. Buyer beware. I am now moving to Verizon.
