Sprint Nextel Complaint - Bogus Charges Seem Unlawful
I am a long time consumer(15 yrs)of Sprint but over the past 4 years have encountered several customer service infractions. I am now outraged with their latest tactic to get my money. When they could not repair my less-than-two year phone, they replaced it free (I had insurance)with a different one because they no longer produced mine. Unfortunately less than a week later the new phone was stolen at the Harris county courthouse. I was required to pay $50 to replace the phone because the insurance won't cover theft! Sprint requested the old phone be returned in the provided envelope which I did. However they are now charging me $140. because they say they did not receive the (non-functional) phone within 14 days, and actually not at all.
Because I didn't insure the mailed phone(why would I, the phone didn't work), I have no proof it was mailed. After hours with a Rep, they insist I must pay this fee or have my service disconnected-- for a non working phone.
