Booking.com Complaint - Be aware a trick of the Residence Verona Class

Review by bsungb on 2010-09-09
VERONA -- If you made a booking through booking.com, be aware a trick of the Residence Verona Class: they would not say ‘welcome’ on your arrival but ‘fully occupied’ without prior notice (but they will say they sent an email) and then relocate you to ‘a good hotel near city center’ which is a trap. Later when you complain they will insist they did a right thing by arranging a room like a cell. If you protest again, now an Italian CEO will fire you with another lie in broken English, after all SILENCE!

By their convenient T&C, booking.com will be a mere ‘intermediary’ after you’ve done a booking so you’d better read it before and think about what they can do when bad things happen.

It's so general I would never book anything from a booking.com website.

It sounds like your hotel was overbooked. That is a risk you run no matter how you book, just like flights and rental cars.
