Cold Lake Ford Complaint - 2008 F-350 Diesel Truck

Review by wellhead on 2010-09-09
COLD LAKE -- I have been buying Diesel Ford trucks since 1995. I owned 1995, 1999, 2002, 2005 and now this 2008 diesel. I've noticed a huge repair cost in the last 2-diesels. The 2008 Ford diesel appears to have a big problem with the rads leaking, due to faulty rads. Ford changed the first rad out for me but the second one they made me pay for it, due to over warranty. I think that Ford should have paid for the 2nd rad also. With these faulty rads on the 2008 diesel truck, Ford should at least give us a bag of absorbent pad so we can put under the vehicle while parked (ISN'T THIS A GREAT MOTOR FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT). Also the exhaust system for emission control is a joke. Apparently Ford tells me that it's plugging off and to change it out, it will cost me $3400.00. I've complained about this truck smoking from the exhaust, pretty well from day one. Ford claims that is normal. If that is the case, so much for emission control. I'm hoping that someone @ Ford Canada will read and do something about my problem. WHERE DID THE FORD LOGO GO: BUILT FORD TOUGH

Diesels smoke when you accelerate. The faster you accelerate the more smoke comes out
