Ashley Home Furniture Complaint - Ashley Furniture Are Professional Rip Off Artists
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- August 21, 2010 - After spending the day shopping for entire new house at Ashley Home Furniture at one location (south End) we were notified that they did not have any in their warehouse to deliver me but they would more than happy to take my money and wait for the shipment to come in. So I drove to the next location only to find that they do indeed have the product in the warehouse. After waiting one week, During the delivery, the delivery team came into the empty house we just bought to view where its going. Then they dropped the sectional onto the street upside down to install the legs. As they brought it into the foyer they banged into the walls that were just painted left it behind and they were gone. I checked out the furniture and noticed the damages on both pieces. Took pictures of both furniture and wall to show the store. After several attempts, I spoke to Chuck (my salesman), then to Linda (customer service. I made arrangements to have this product returned for a refund. I was informed I would receive a call back within 72 hours to make arrangements. Three days later I called them and I was given the run around cause I was supposed to call them prior. During my call, I reiturated the prior conversation for confirmation, and was told that I requested a return and not a refund. I asked Jessica "what is the differece between refund and return" and she said that according to their policy return means to take it back only once and yet this product still hasn't been picked up. After several calls to supervisors and management, I still haven't had my issue rectified. Only to witness a call from their customer service office today from Sara to the delivery personnel that his order is to drop off the one piece of the sectional instead of two because they didn't bring one and it wasn't part of the sectional. WOW! Who do they really imploy? PEOPLE WITH NO EDUCATIONAL SKILLS is what. In the English language, a return and refund is the same. AS per customer service on North Decatur and 215 Las Vegas, a return means to only exchange. During my experience with the customer service team, I decided to return/refund the product. SO, Today, I requested the delivery team to take the original sectional out of my house and they wouldn't upon the order of Sara on the walkie talkie. So I then told her that if they didn't, I would then take them to her and drop them off at her front door for the inconvenience they had caused me.
I am appalled of the customer service and the untruth they at Ashleys Furniture percieve. On Numerous occasions, my phone calls were placed on hold and pushed onto other people to deal with.
